No cooking today…

… as I skipped the lamb cooking morning and went for a walk along Garryvoe/Ardnahinch beach with J. instead.

After lunch in the Ballymaloe Shop Café, I head back to school to feed my sourdough starter and attend the demo session while J. heads off to Cork where she’s meeting R., a friend from our days in Liverpool.

Apart from the starter & demo session, I also decant another batch of water kefir (the rain today is light enough that I do pick some red basil from the herb garden) and then homework. Friday’s document pack from the school includes more details of our final written exams so I have a lists of herbs, spices, fish&shellfish, meat joints, pulses and vegetables to make sure I can identify and associate a recipe with…
