A decadent sunny Saturday

I guess I really should start blogging again and what better time than a sunny Saturday after the interminable rain in January and February. Spring is really here if we can lunch al fresco in Gex.

And for dinner I try cooking bone marrow. With toast, of course, and a St John inspired parsley salad. I did have the bone marrow starter there but don’t remember it being cylinders. I much prefer the “bone cut in half” style. Last eaten at a restaurant at the Bistrot de Venterol when, I’m ashamed to say, I had to hide my shirt with my serviette afterwards. No such problem tonight. And the cooking is pretty easy: soak for a few hours then bake in a hot oven for 15-20 minutes. I wish I’d done this before!
